This is the first entry of hopefully many in the newest proboard forum. Scheduled to open July 31, 2006, the concept was born as I was waiting to go to bed but wasn't tired. The result of boredom is this website.

I made the Association Headquarters Category of boards and decided to start this site out with four major teams, the four Hogwarts teams, and as we expand, I will grow into the World Cup teams.

With ten boards, I am finished working and hope to continue soon. I am going to sleep on my ideas and think about what will and will not work. I still need to add header/footer codes, member groups/ranks, and individual team locker rooms and practice boards.

All of the boards are pretty much finished and the posts that I have to start the site are pretty much done. I am still looking for a way to possibly include the process of purchasing brooms and robes and supplies like that. But then I'm not completly sure how you would earn the money. Maybe I'll just let it go. Maybe each team could start out with old brooms, say "Cleansweeps" and from there, after winning their first game, they would get a gift or two. First they would get matching team robes. Then maybe a bump up to a Nimbus 2000. Next maybe each player would get his/her own broom polishing set and set of quidditch balls (quaffle, bludgers, snitch). Maybe I will do it that way. It would be a nice reward to everyone for winning a game. And also, maybe as an individual, you could get gifts after making 50 posts, then 100 posts, then 150 posts, then 250 posts, etc.

Well- I just thought I'd update this to keep track of my progress. The codes are all pretty much in the headers and footers, and pretty much all I am waiting on before I begin "early invites" is my graphics. I can make OK graphics, but they aren't superb, so I put in a request at a certain graphics site.

I can't wait until this site gets busy

I downloaded a photoshop trial the other day and made some basic graphics so we could get started with something awhile... Links have been added to Hogwarts USA as well as my signatures on my other favorite sites.

Hopefully we'll get a few members around here soon, then things will be set up so we have a few quality members for opening....

As the Grand Opening for the site gets closer, our community is growing bigger and bigger by the day. I feel really good about this. I know when we open, our site will not be huge, but I have to say that we will be pretty well off.

I had made some temporary graphics and images this past week and they are now available as an alternative layout. But today, I installed our main, default, Arena Quidditch League Skin. Dubbed V1.1 (my temporary skin is 1.0), this skin has a dark theme, different from my original plan, but I love it. With awesome graphics and a superb color set, I don't think it is very hard on the eyes. Well- I have some captains, and am starting to get some other members as well. We're almost there, so lets keep our fingers crossed!

GRAND OPENING!!!

Well- the site officially opens today with 29 Members! We have seven students signed up and ready to participate in the quidditch league race to the Hogwarts Quidditch Cup! Matches can start once we have 8 players. At 8 players, we can begin scrimages because players can double up. At the point where we have at least four players to a team- we can begin official matches. So with that I urge to you do everything in your power. Get all of your friends to join this site! Let's get it going!
